Our journey is much like that of the Joads of the Steinbeck classic Grapes of Wrath. Okay so we only read the Cliff’s Notes version in high school, but if their struggle to attain the american dream in the dust bowl 30’s was anything like our battle against the intimidation of the wine aisle, they had their work cut out for them. Time and time again, we were let down by the nonsensical wine terminology and the expert ratings. We decided, no longer would we be held hostage by the wine aisle elitists whose snobbery dictates that one must pay top dollar for a good tasting wine.
We’re here to let you know when we strike gold and find a delicious wine under $15, while steering you away from the bottles that seduce you with pretty labels and lofty descriptions. Our method is simple: purchase widely available wines for a reasonable price, and compile easy to understand descriptions and value ratings.
